The brief was for easy daysailing, single-handed or with family and friends. With fully battened mainsail and roller furling self tacking jib, it is step aboard and go.

Major emphasis was put on clean deck lines and an elegant profile. The deck and cockpit are kept uncluttered with all halyards lead to a winch below deck. Only the jib controls and spinnaker sheets lead to the cockpit winches through under-deck channels. Similarly, there is no mainsheet track and control lines and the rig is backstay-less. The mainsail is controlled with a powerful rigid vang and simple double purchase mainsheet system. The masthead asymmetric spinnaker is set on the neatly extending bowsprit.

The relatively narrow, easy driven hull and high righting moment bulb keel make hiking out unnecessary. The crew remains seated on the upholstered cockpit seats with comfortable high backrests.

Below, there is very usable overnight accommodation, with four full length berths, marine toilet and compact galley and chart areas. A drop leaf table is attached to the half height keel case.

With hydraulic lifting keel and rudder mounted in a removable cassette, the boat can be motored in very shallow water. Together with the single lift point, this allows the boat to be easily road trailed or transported in a container on its own trailer.
