This proposal was for weekend trips to the offshore islands sailing short handed or even single handed. It features a relatively narrow, easily driven hull combined with a high ballast ratio fin and bulb keel.

An important element of the design was the inclusion of the wrap-around windscreen and integrated dodger in an elegant profile to insure that guests continue to enjoy their sailing even when the local sea breeze really kicks in.

The low cockpit table incorporates a chilled drinks bin and converts to a full sized table for al fresco dining. The cockpit aft of the helm position is open to the sea and has removable deck lockers which provide extra seating.

To achieve the desired clean deck and cockpit spaces, the halyard winches and controls are located below, the jib is self tacking and equipped with an under-deck furler, the mainsail has in-boom furling and powered sheeting and all controls are located at the helm position.

A modern, minimalist interior is envisaged with enclosed heads and shower, full galley facilities and separate owner’s cabin forward.
