These are some of the initial sketches for a Singapore based client to show that he could combine the best features of his previous motor yacht with his love of sailing. Specific emphasis was to be put on a modern profile and the outdoor areas to reflect the owner’s envisaged use of the yacht as a platform for swimming and diving.

An essential requirement was that there be panoramic sight lines from the saloon and that this area be continuous with the deck lounge area. The deck saloon configuration achieves this with expansive glass panels in the coachroof and only two steps between the two areas.

Another requirement was for the deck lounge area to be separate from the working area without isolating the helmsman. To achieve this, the headsail and spinnaker winches are located aft of the helm stations. The raised area over the tender garage provides seating and a sun lounge area. This garage is accessed via the transom door which lowers to provide a launching ramp. It also forms a generous sea-level bathing platform. When lowered, the transom cockpit doors also give access to the sea with their integral bathing ladders.
