We were asked to develop a “turbo” version of the successful R31. Using the same hull mould, weight was reduced with a much lower freeboard, higher specification laminate, deeper keel and minimal interior. Add to this a carbon rig, large roach main and masthead asymmetric spinnakers and you have a handful of performance and perhaps the ultimate trailer sailer.
